2014 Easterns

An excellently executed meet. 3 lifters from Team HAF(Robert, Steph, Tom), 27 attempts, 1 missed 3rd attempt dl that was still locked out. Almost flawless. This effort on the heels of 25 successful attempts at the NL open (Matt, Campbell, Steph).

Squat
First time using the SBD knee sleeves
200-212.5-217.5

Bench
115-125-132.5

Deadlift
235-250-260

Weighed in at 73.7 and set 11 National records.

Once again I see so many potentially good lifters settle for mediocrity. Most are ill-prepared - poor weight cutting, poor openers based on training in ideal conditions at a heavier bodyweight, and poor attempt selection. And many of these lifters have "coaches". Pathetic.

I'll take hard training with proper rest, realistic goal setting and white lights in favour of over training and pop tarts after weigh in.
